***Look what my wife brought home**
I worked yesterday and she wanted me to have more shop time so she was going to go pick up some more timber.
She actually enjoys looking through the stacks to get the best boards available. (Bonus!!!)
Another plus is the fact that she is so amazed by some of the figure she will pick up an extra 8 BF because the figure catches her eye.
She said the shop hands are eager to help her so it makes it easier on her. She is probably the only female they see all day so that helps.
Here are a couple snaps of some mahogony she picked up. Some nice figure if I say so myself.
They also sold her some birdseye maple for the cost of soft maple. They said it didn't have enough birdseye in it but I am thinking they may have started drinking early that morning.
Anyway, Just wanted to brag on my SWMBO for a bit.

Had a similar experience last week. Took SWMBO to recvcled timber and slab place last week and she kept saying how great the timber slabs were and what could I do with them? Picked out some good slabs too. One shopping trip I am glad I dragged her along.
Have a nice day - Cheers

You'r a lucky man. Look forward to seeing what comes from the timber - oops lumber.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

She is a keeper for sure!!!
Steve, thanks. I intend on making some boxes out of the "timber" (hehe) for my family for Christmas. My wife asked if I could make something to hold bath salts/scented soap/lotions. She mentioned some baskets at first but we decided a nice box would be a better package, and would probably give more use for years after.
Will post up some pics when they are done.
*Note to self.........say timber not lumber..........timber...........NOT lumber

Lucky, lucky you! What type of Mahogany is it? Look's like African Mahogany. How about some pic's of your Birdseye Maple?
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
