    MM, very nice marbled look, dumb Q - what causes the black lines, l've heard sometimes redgum (rare) can have the same feature?

    Not sure what causes the black lines Stevo...maybe lightning strike? This piece was milled from a 'crotch' section hence the distorted figure,but the black lines are intriguing...maybe someone could shed some light on the occurrence of the black lines...MM
