Lumber Bunker
Despite its Yankee sounding name, according to the aus woodworker there is a new woodworking store on the Central Coast.
I havent had the time to go see it yet, anyone been to check them out yet? I will try and get there next weekend if i can.

Stirlo,
I will have a look for you next Saturday if I make it there.
I would not go off the stock on the website as to what they have in store. When I first looked at the site it had nothing on it, a few days later they had some information on it. So it looks like its still being built.Brett

Nothing to do with Timbecon.
Lumber Bunker is run by a Family Partnership. Liza and Steven Thomas of NSW. No connection to Timbecon.

It's just down the road from work - if they'd open on Mondays, this post would have been a report on them.
As it is, I'll probably get there some time this week.
BTW, did you guys know that Mitre10 in Umina is a Carbatec branch? Save the drive down the F3.
Cheers,
Andrew

Umina is a beach on Broken Bay. In effect it is a southern suburb of Woy Woy and is just a 10-15 minute drive from Lumber Bunker.
I don't know if they supply pen blanks.
This thread does suggest to me that we should all be encouraging our local hardware store (if it is a franchise as Mitre 10, Home and others (but not Bummies) are) to investigate becoming an agent for our favourite suppliers - it may lead to the products being more widely available, so we don't have to rely on mail order and internet so muchCheers

Posted back in November:
"Did my fellow coasties know that Mitre10 at Umina is a Carbatec outlet?
The guy whose business card is stapled to the catalogues is
John Carrington
Mob: 0421 069 630
they're at 275 West St
Umina.
They had a CTJ680 thicknesser there, but most of the stuff I think they'd just order in for you."
Didn't see any pen blanks, and I don't think they carried all items in stock, but the guy I spoke with said they'd order anything in.
Cheers,
Andrew
