    From the first few shots I was thinking either CL or Red Ash, and as I'm sure you would recognise the smell of CL, I'll throw my hat into the ring with Red Ash. It does look a bit light for RA but probably the ground it was growing in.

    The tree wasn't large but had compressional figure all the way through it.Seems to be seasoning honestly too...MM
