Mouth watering
Dropped into Monaro Timbers in Queanbeyan the other day to see what was on offer and hidden in a back corner I saw these. Thought a few of you guys might like to see them. Ebony slabs, there's three there and I think there was another couple behind. I'm guessing they were a bit over 3m & 250-300mm wide. I wasn't game to ask how much they were
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

It looked a fair bit like this
If there is anyone on the forums who would like me to make an enquiry or would like more info please let me know and I will drop by to find out. While it's well outside my reach there may be some in here who are looking for that special piece of wood and this may be it.
Post in here or send me a PM if you want to keep it quietIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Hi Corbs.
What are Monaro Timbers like? Big range and stock? I might have to go for a drive soon.
Cheers,
nathan.

There's no harm in asking but from me it's a redundant question because I'm just wasting their time and have no intention of purchasing one. If anyone in here were interested in buying one or more then I'm happy to go back and find out though. I'm not going to go back as a tyre kicker though

Good Morning Corbs
No harm in asking - you might even find their price is within your budget.
About ten years ago I was in the late, but not lamented, Gunns timberyard and asked the price of six planks of really good Queensland maple. "Can't you f***ing read, All the f***ing mixed tropical hardwoods are f***ing $2 a superfoot."
I paid their price, and the maple and I f****ed off.
