Murray Pine 4 x 2
Hi Guys,
A few years ago I pulled down a timber house on a farm near Daysdale NSW, north west of Albury.
The ceilings and walls were baltic pine lining boards which I have sold the majority, keeping enough for myself if I decide to do a feature wall.
Floor boards were murray pine and again I sold the majority and keeping enough for a project.
Now the studs were also murray pine 4x2 around 12 to 13 foot long. I still have these and was wondering if anyone would know what they are worth.
The timber is approximately 130 years old and in very good condition. Denailed and stored under cover. Took me about 9 months to pull down and doing around 90% myself. Amazing what you learn when you do a project like this. Patience is also a necessity if you don't want to do damage.
Just a tip to anyone, if you want to pull nails out of murray pine just lay it on the ground on some timber and turn on the sprinkler. The wood swells and the nail comes out very neatly and not with chunks of timber attached. The murray pine is fine and just dries out again.
I look forward to some thoughts.
Thanks
Ross
