    Default Nice Salvage & FREE!

My lovely wife work's for a private hospital which is undergoing a redevelopment at the moment. She was able to secure the timber hand rails from a couple of floors before they were demolished. It's only Tas Oak but it's better than going into land fill & it was free!!
    The 2 long boards are 5.5mts & the rest are 2.9mts & 2.0mts X 190mm X 45mm. Dunno what I'll use them for but I'll find room for them.
    Cheers

good pickup major and i don't think it will take to long to work out what to make, hall stand , coffee table, bedside tables, whatever you come up with you have saved the timber from going to the scrap heap.
    cheers

What's the deal with blurring out your number plate? I've seen it done before but never understood why.

Nice score Major. Like you and Wardy said, better in your shed than landfill. Looks quite straight too.

Well done, we await your next Tassie oak project.

If you have low friends in high places it's not hard to come up with an address that belongs to the # plate.

Well done Major. I'd hate here when timber timber like that just goes to the tip.

As to where to put it, plenty of room left at your place mate
On the other hand, you wouldn't like it becoming like mine , I've got timber down the back, down the side, out the front, in the carport, even in the house
