Uses for Norfolk Pine
Hi all, I'm about to remove a large Norfolk Pine for a customer, they don't want the logs and it seems a massive waste to dump them. Anyone know what the timber is like to work with? would it be a waste to mill it into framing timber? or better as slabs for tabletops etc? cheers

stu doesn't matter to much what you cut it to just make sure you cut it as soon as possible .hopefully one of the other blokes will see your post and put in a link to this thread as we were discussing the problems associated with this tree .blue stain.personally i think it's quite bland but it doesn't move much is light and reasonbly strong.

It's a really good wood to use for axe throwing targets, they stick in well and it's very hard to split. Trouble is this is not a common sport in Australia.
