Peppermint gum
Found someone selling live edge slab 60mm of peppermint gum. 2.9m long and between 400-600mm wide. Timber is still green.
What is this timber like? Crack/warp a lot? Any idea what would be left of the 60mm thickness once dried? Could make table with it or art piece like im diing here:

i once had some boards of this mixed in with a pack of vic ash virtually all of it didn’t handle being made into chairs was subject to splitting consequently it cost me a lot of time and money to weed it out.
in conversation with my supplier about this load of crappy timber that was splitting he surmised that it was probably peppermint and this had happened to him a few times. What he did say that it was okay if airdried but was prone to cracking and splitting if kiln dried. Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .
