Please help with timber ID
G'day guys,
I was driving my daughter to get an ice cream after kindy and slowed down as I spotted a mini skip loaded with truks. I pulled up and had a look but decided to continue on and come back later. I managed to drag out a couple of silky oak peices and some of another species I'm not familiar with (there are so many!).
Could someone please help identify these? I'm not sure if it's useable but I thought it's no harm taking it just in case.
Thanks in advance!
Denim.

Thanks very much guys. I'll notch another one up on the 'tree's I can identify' list.
There were only two branches lopped from the tree. I had a closer look at the logs before I sealed the ends and it looks like the branches were previously lopped and the owners had someone out to tidy up the job.
Now the tough part. I'd really like to split them into 50 mm lengths but don't have the means atm. I'll just put them away until I work that out.
Regards,
Denim.
