Plywood Supplier
Recently, I seen ad's for a plywood supplier in Melbourne on TV. I think the company is called "Mr. Plywood", but I cannot find them in the Yellow Pages Directory.
Does anyone have contact info and/or experience with this supplier?

They have a good range, but seem a bit exxy.
Our local store doesn't carry the complete range, and need to order in. They also only carry full sheets, in all but a few lines.Bodgy

Thanks for the info.
Strange, although they pay for TV ads into Melbourne, they have no franchises in Victoria - pitty! (I suspect they are looking for local franchisees.)
Also thought their web site was not very helpful. I had to ring them to get the information I wanted. Oh well...

They (Mr Plywood) also advertise on TV in Perth but have no outlet in Perth.
I have used a few sheets of plywood in the last few months. Just want to say that the cheaper stuff is utter c*ap. The cheap stuff do not hold screws very well. I have found that the Austral brand of ply to be the best, but also more expensive.

Might already know this one Don, but have you tried Plyboard Distributors for your needs. Bayswater & Dandenong out this side I think.

Bought some ply from Mr Ply and Wood. They had no interior ply available. If you wanted some it would take 2 months to deliver. So ended up buying exterior AC with Fijian cedar.

Brims in Rushdale st in knox (and Brisbane and Sydney) have a great range of decorative veneers and plantation hoop pine on plywood and chipboard. Full sheets only and about $40 for delivery. www.brims.com.au. Be handy if I knew how to make a link, wouldn't it.

I've used Brims for veneered particle board. Very helpful people and seem reasonably priced. There is also Plyco in whatever the road is that Chandler Highway becomes up towards Darebin Road. Bit more expensive and nowhere near the range on the floor that Brims have, although their catalogue has a lot of options. I'd go to Brims for a look. They love a chat out there.

Another one you might try
Howdy fellas,
I'm new to the east side of Melbourne and had been looking around for someone local to source furniture grade ply from. I came up with Allboard Distributors in Dorset Road Boronia, they will also rip the boards to size for you if you wish.
The funny thing is Brims is literally just over the road from where I am and this is the first I've heard of them.... Bonus!!
Cheers
