Possibly some sort of cedar or mahogany??

Located in SA, 50mm thick, 400-500 wide, no distinct smell. Fairly soft, lightweight, minimal checking, planes very well in both directions. Doesn't have any cedar smell but I haven't seen red or brown cedar in person before. Maybe some sort of mahogany? There was other exotic timber species where this was being stored. Thanks in advanced...

Have to agree with Neil.
I have a piece of A.R.C that matches the 3rd picture from the left, which also hasn't got a smell but is very soft and light.

I just want to say thank you for the good pictures - particularly the end grain picture showing a freshly cut face. I wish everybody that wandered along here with the same question would do as you have: It makes ID a whole lot less like guesswork
