Yates Wood Panels at Ingleburn would be your best bet. They specialise in veneer laying to order. Prices are reasonable as too are Amarind. Ingleburn should be a bit closer to home as well.

Once your done sawing your own jarrah veneer and glueing it (defect free) to a board on both sides. Come back and tell us that 300 bucks is not worth it...
Been there done that. Good learning opportunity though)

Amarind are one of Australia's largest veneered board suppliers to the cabinet trades.

Mister ply are are for builders.
They never had any jarrah board, his supplier is Amarind or maybe brims,
    Go to the source.

Thanks Rusty. I will Yates a go. If they don't have it in stock, I will order from Amarind as both are in Ingleburn.

Looks like someone at head office is actually interested.

I just received a call from them and they are now looking it the situation.

Finally I got a return phone call. Although the head office guy said he would get back to me, the return call came from Mohamed, the guy at the store.

He apologised, blaming his supplier for not returning his call, and a sick wife which caused him to have a day off.

The upshot was none of his suppliers have stock so basically forget it from us (Mister Ply & Wood.)

An all together bad experience and this mob can not be recommended; indeed they should be avoided if customer service, and or ethics, means anything to you.
    Cheers
    Ric
