    Hi Andy! try Lazrides over the north side. They have stocks of all sorts of timbers.

    I know that they used to keep a fqair supply of purpleheart.

    +1 for Lazarides. Plan to buy more than the purpleheart too. If you roam the shelves you will find something else. They have a good range of turning blanks.

    Just remembered Trevor Gaskell - tgcreations of the forum - has sold purpleheart pen blanks, so he may be worth a PM also.

    The nicer Peltogyne species is either P. venosa or P. confertiflora.
