    Default Queensland Maple

Alot of members have probably not seen Qld Maple wood before so here's a couple of pieces that highlight just how pretty it can be.

    Botanical name...Flindersia Brayleyana
    Provenance Far Nth Qld

These blanks reveal wonderful compression grain (fiddleback)
Sourced from a mature paddock grown tree blown over during one of our seasonal cyclones many moons ago

    Hope you like them

Beautiful timber. Would make great pepper grinders.

    They certainly would BMKal
The grain would 'pop' when turned
