    Default Queensland Sassafras?

I'm trying to re-create an instrument that, I'm told by the maker,
    is made of Queensland Sassafras.
After doing a bit of digging into the types of Sassafras ther are, I'm even more confused!
The instrument in question is an electric bass, and the Sassafras was used for the body.
Does anyone know what type of Sassafras from Queensland would be a likely candidate for this type of use?
My guess is that it would have been easily available in the 1980's.
And I havent been able to find any timber suppliers in Queensland that mention suppling Sassafras, either.
Does anyone know of any Sassafras available in Queensland,
or North Queensland,(which I believe has a different type again)?

    thanks

    Default Sassafras

    I need 100 - 150mm x 50mm at minimum.
the width can be wider, but the 50mm is absolute min.

    Default try again

i'll try that again... length is not that important, width and depth are important.
They are as listed above, with the depth of at least 50mm
