Recycled oregon pine in a dining room table
This table was made recycled oregon pine from a ship. When I purchased the table new it had a almost matt surface with a slight sheen. I have used various oils on it to keep it moist but the surface either looks oily or dry. What should I be using to maintain a good surface? Also does anyone know if this table because of its background, might be valuable? I also have a coffee table and a small square table made from the same wood.

Is there meant to be a picture with this post?
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

I hope pictures will follow......and maybe the Finishes section might be a better choice of Forum.
I have an idea about building a dining room table from the Douglas Fir (Oregon) doors from this house and I'd like to see how it might look.
Welcome aboard Balcormo.
Edit:I see this has already been posted in Finishing and Restoring. Ummm.......good choice? We don't know how lucky we are......
