    Default Red Bloodwood Timber

I wish to put 3000mm high x 300mm diameter poles up to support a shade sail. I have an abundance of Red Bloodwood trees on my property. Are these OK to use as poles or should I be using something else.

Bloodwood is an excellent choice for posts, extremely durqble and termite resistant, except for the sapwood which should be removed where the post will be buried and then an extra 150mm or so.
