    Default Red Cedar

I have been contacted by a widowed lady who has some red cedar for sale.
It is in the ACT, although her late husband brought it with him from Queensland when they moved here some years ago. It would be well dried. The planks have been stored flat on a rack.
Her husband made some quite impressive furniture from it.
She would prefer to move it in one or a small number of transactions rather than many small ones, so i am posting this to see if there is any interest in it. Price has not yet been determined - I have seen a commercial price list showing prices ranging from $9,000 to $17,000 per cube, so it would would be below that, and a good price will be struck if someone wants a bulk deal.

Sizes of the pieces are as follows (revised list):
    Planks
    340 x 18 x 4.2m (x2)
    200 x 15 x 4.2m (x4)
    290 x 15 x 4.2m (x3)
    350 x 21 x 1.35m
    300 x 38 x 1.55m
    330 x 20 x 1.4m
    250 x 19 x 4.2m
    290 x 20 x 0.98m
    150 x 19 x 0.7m

    Blocks
    75 x 75 x 3.87m
    75 x 75 x 3.4m
    75 x 75 x 2.45m
    95 x 95 x 1.8m
    100 x 95 x 2.7m
    100 x 95 x 1.45m
    195 x 195 x 1.2m
    160 x 160 x 2.4m
    180 x 105 x 0.55m

There is also a piece of White cedar:

    Hi

I am starting a project later this year to do the internal fitout of a yacht and was considering using Australian Red Cedar as one f the woods.
I am interested to take the lot.
I spoke earlier this week to a wood supplier on the NSW south coast and he quoted $4400 - $6600 depending on size.
I estimate the volume of cedar you have listed to be .37 cube and I am interested at around $4500 per cube

    thks

    Gordon,
I cleaned up the stack yesterday and found more - list revised above. Still interested in the lot?

    Hi Chris

Yes I am interested to take the lot still. It is nearly .45 cube now. I would have to come down from Sydney to have a look. Does the wood look fairly knot free?
I have a Navara and a 7by 5 trailor so I can transport the pieces less than 3 metres myself. I would have to arrange transport for the longer planks.

    thks

    Gordon,
So that would work out at $2025.
I am waiting on a reply from an earlier bidder via PM, will be in touch.
Re knots, i must say now you ask that I didn't see a single one, although I wasn't looking particularly for them. Can't see any in the photos.
It was a big tree apparently.
If you want transport I found e-go to be economical.
