Redgum Wanted in Melbourne.
Can anybody recommend a supplier of some redgum in Melbourne, preferably in the northern suburbs?
Rough sawn is ok, need some wider stock for a table top and 50x50mm for the legs...

I know Home H'Ware in Heidelberg have various milled sizes and lengths. A tad on the expensive side though.

Try Matthews Timber in Rooks Road Vermont. You should be able to get 150 x 25mm OK.
For the 50x50mm legs, you might have to go to Australian Furniture Timbers in Port Melbourne, or you could try Bowerbird salvaged timber out near Healesville, or Britton's in Dandenong.
The Red Gum from Danaher's in Heidelberg, while slightly expensive is DAR and all high figure timber. (see below) They may have some 65 x 65mm or 85 x 85mm available.
