    Default Rock Maple

    Heya, Im in High School and i decided to make a computer desk for my major. I started off using American Rock Maple, but buying from Trend is a tad bit pricey. Can anyone recommend me a place (near Sydney) where i can purchase Rock Maple cheaply? Thanks in advance ^^

    I don't know anywhere in sydney wheer Rock maple will be "cheap" compared to Trend Timbers.

    options you might like to consider are
    using a different species
    using a combination of solid timber and manufactured board or ply which would drasticly reduce the quantity of solid timber you need

    I dont know if this will help but I have bought bits of bowling alley from various AMF ? alleys that were closing down.
    A mate bought in bulk dont know if he still has any.
    The alley is of course made of edge strips about 65 x 25 from memory.
    They are nailed together with very hard nails.
    Probably overkill for a computer table great for benches.
