Where can I get a root burl Veneered and put to ply
I have a large Peppercorn root and burl (weighs over a tonne). Does any one know where a bloke can send such an item to be veneered and made into ply and perhaps do it as a trade off.

This will be a challenge - modern veneers for ply are peeled (imagine a huge lathe that turns logs against a very sharp blade) from graded logs. Veneers from furniture making and the like are sliced from timber blocks (horizonal cheese slicer may create the mental picture).
Is the burl dried? You have said how much it weighs but what are its dimensions. Maybe someone can cut it using a log mill that uses a blade as opposed to a chain saw. Wont be veneer but may achieve something
