Roughsawn Northern Silky Oak
Hello all
Has anyone got any pictures of roughsawn Northern Silky Oak so that I might recognise it when I see it. Also does slabbed S.O. (backsawn??) have the same finished look as quarter cut S.O. and which cut gives the typical S.O. grain loved by millions?
ThanksI allus has wun at eleven

Classic figured silky oak grain appears on 1/4 cut boards.
Slabs from near the centre of the tree will show this grain towards their outside edges.
The very centre slab is effectively two 1/4 cut boards meeting at the centre.Rusty
