    Default Service from Misan

My wife and i were over in Tassie recently on holidays and managed to catch up with the folks at Misan in Burnie. We used to see Mike and Sandra at the Perth Wood Show each year, which is where most West Aussies will remember them from, and bought quite a few pieces of beautiful timber from them over the years. It was always like old home week catching up each year and seeing what they had brought up from home.

I was mortified when I learnt that they had moved to Tassie, and even more so when I got to see their full stocks. Over here we had only been able to see what they could bring with them to the show - to see all of it in one place was a delight.

When I got home I contacted Mike and ordered one of his bulk lots of pen blanks and asked him to pick out two pieces of birds eye Huon and send it to me. A couple of days later a box arrived and it contained a beautiful array of blanks, including some which are truly special and which I did not expect in a bulk lot deal. The Huon was also lovely and exactly what I wanted.

Next time we are in Tassie I need to make sure we allow some real quality time for some timber shopping.

Usual disclaimer - no relationship to supplier - just like dealing with nice people.

    Hi Larry,

Good lot of timber by the sounds of it, well done,.... but,... you know the rules: This did not happen if there are no supporting pictures. Actually we just like pictures.

    Cheers

Yeah Pops, a result of my lack of planning. We were just passing thu Burnie and I hadn't called ahead so didn't think we would catch up with Mike. When we did I was blown away by the timber and didn't think to get the camera out. Just another reason to go back - to get you some photos.

    Cheers

    Larry
