Hi Jasmine.
There was a bloke up at Petaluma who used to sell some nice timber - don't know his name but the coffee place would know. Also, you could ask the furniture place in the Nissan hut on the road from North Ward to the airport. Again, I don't know his name, but he's on the left as you go out of NW.

I think that's Kingfisher furniture.
If you get stuck I can probably machine some up for you. Are you able to repair the door yourself? I am currently making a fair few custom doors and windows and could give you a quote for a complete door, otherwise I could put you onto someone in Townsville who might be able to repair it for you.

thank you
Thank you for your help. I will put a picture up of the door in question. I recenty went to a joinery place with a piece of the door that is broken they say they can make up some new bits for me it will cost $200 for 8 pieces of silky oak. they said they haven't seen it that thin b4 being only 1cm in thickness and tounge and groove. ( excuse my spelling ) and i can put the door back together myself. I restored all the door in the house including the one that i broke so i would really like to keep the same door and just repair it since the stain glass and frame is still in good order. Do you think the price i was quoted is a good price coz i don't know much on prices.

Jasmine,
that price seems pretty fair to me. Have fun getting it all fixed up,
