    Default Silver ash??

    Hi, I had a bunch of timber under my house that I saved many years ago from being dumped. It had about 50 years worth of paint on it. I finally got around to cleaning it up and I am really curious as to what it is. I have been told that it looks like Silver Ash. I would love any responses about the type of timber you think it is and what it would be useful for. I have just started building an electric guitar and I was hoping that it would make good guitar neck material. The lengths are about 100mm x 30mm x 2500mm.
