G'day.
We milled some Slash pine last week. It came from Private property we were harvesting.
It mills well. End coat before racking. completely wrap with hession at the start of air drying. after about a month you can remove the hession and leave for another month. this time of year, air dry as above will have it at Fibre Saturation Point in 2 months. Kiln dry starting at 45Deg C with 85% R.H. Ramp up so that final settings are 75Deg C with 55%RH. This will minimise any collapse in the quarter sawn boards. For 50mm Start the same but finish at 65Dec C and 50%RH.Hooroo.
Regards, Trevor
