Wanted Snakewood
Hi all, thought I would try here, may be in the wrong section.
But what I would like to do is make up some certificate frames for
My sons birth. I'm trying to source some a+ grade Snakewood.
A small log would be awsome. Dose anyone know of a source?
I had a look on fleebay but thought try here if anyone knows of
Other options,

Snakewood is not from Aus, rare and costs a fortune. There may be a local exotic timber supplier near you, but this mob can deliver (yes you can get from overseas) Shop — Snakewood | Exotic Hardwoods

Depends on which species he is referring to, there is local species know as Snakewood from WA Acacia xiphophylla - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In fact Vern has it listed on his egg page as 487 and I have turned some for a pen.
I reckon he'd have more luck sourcing the stuff from overseasCheers

Piratinera Guianensis is the species im looking for, I was hoping somebody in Aus would be able to supply a small amount. Ive decided to go a different path and use Acacia Cambagei, i used Rhamnus Zeyheri for my daughters cirtificate frame which has set a standard for the rest of the rug rats i bring into this world,

I may be able to get some snakewood if there is any left. I live in WA and know of a fellow who has some (the WA Snakewood that is). I think it was about $100 or so for some branches, out to a diameter of 100mm. but this is off the top of my head
Please PM me
