    Default Something Different

Found while walking a country town in Gippsland
(I thought) ... Is this what happens when wood wants to explode or open up like a book?
I though as I reached for the phone camera

But the guy at Bunnings said that mdf would be a great choice for outside provided I painted the ends.

A well known major project builder in Sydney used MDF for fascia and barge boards about 30 yrs ago, kept carpenters and metal fascia companies employed for about 10yrs rectifying/replacing....

30 years ago was the old growth mdf .... much better than the plantation grown rubbish that is rushed onto the market these days.

A lot of the homes flooded in Townsville this year would have had MDF trims, skirtings, architraves, jambs etc.
