source of quartersawn oak
Having trouble finding a good source of quartersawn oak, the wog wood, don't think I particularly care whether it's American, English, European, white, red, or brindle just as long as it displays the typical ray pattern. Putting together price and design for a traditional Arts and Crafts piece. Of course needs to be KD or well seasoned. Looking for RS 150+ X 25mm boards about 15-16lm.
Cheers
Michael

Thanks Rob I'm going up to Brittons here on Monday to grab some timber for another commission and will have a look through their oak pack to see how much qsawn is in it. Fellow said it is mostly backsawn but there is the odd stick. If there is not enough I have found a backup of 100year old French oak 220x75 beams I can resaw.
Cheers
Michael
