    bitingmidge reply. Also, I have 1 log of Nth. Qld. Cooktown ironwood
    "but I dana wana cut it". It's bloody hard sh..! and I love my bandsaws.

    Lazarides had some nice black ebony a few weeks back, the NG stuff but very back...it was good by exepensive...215 for approc 2 meter 2X1

    Woodworld on the gold coast has some nice NG ebony..b grade , tahts half dark half reddish streaks...good price..65$ for 2.1 meter 4 X 1 board..

    and Dave, thanks for the info, i should be down that way next week..

    Carba-Tec are selling some of the cheapest ebony going around at present: $52 for two good-sized pieces. You have to dismantle their Chinese-made cutting gauge to get at it :eek: , but you'll be left with a couple of hefty chunks when you do.
