yeah dj, i read the other post. warnambool, i wouldn't have a clue it was the segmented splits in the bark that seemed a bit funny but since i don't know alot about how trees grow they dont look exactly the same as our messmates

Thanks for taking a look anyway guys , much appreciated.
When I can get back there I'll get some better pics for you, maybe cut a piece as well ,might be a bit easier .
It all seems like useful stuff though anyway which was my main concern . Hope to buy this place unless something better comes up while I'm waiting and I think I could turn a nice little part time wage for a while with the stuff I'll have to take out from the sounds of it. I'd hate to send logs like these up the chimney , be a shame.
I see Stringy threads below here, talk about slow . Someones made whether boards out of them so it can't be too bad - red Stringy .
