Stud Wall
Hi All, I am new at this so bear with me, a friend has asked me to help build a timber stud wall in an old hall it has to be 7700mm long x 3300mm high fixing to concrete floor and steel beam above and brick walls either end, what advice can you give as im only a handy man. thanks in advance

if i were you i'd do it out of colorbond sandwich panel (coolroom panel) it'll be a lot quicker and possibly cheaper than a stud wall

do you have to match the finished wall to the rest of the hall ?

Hi Manuka, yes we are trying to tie it all in the ither walls are gyproc, but we do like the idea of the coolroom panel

You should be able to get freezer panels that height , so go for it , it's self supporting .
And then you can stick the gib board on to that .
Any cables , wires etc can be run along the panel joins .

stud walls are quick and easy to build.
it there is room build it laying down and stand it up.
best to eb doen in sections. or run a top and bottom plate and stand each stuf in and skew nail. then nogin in the center.
