    Default Supplies in Melbourne

    Forgive me if this information is already on here somewhere but I'm still trying to figure everything out on this forum.

    Can anybody in Melbourne please tell me:

    1) Where can I get a good secondhand drop saw

    2) Who is a good timber supplier where I can find anything other than the pine at Bunnings. I am especially interested in getting my hands on some native Australian timbers.

    Hi and welcome.
    A second hand mitre saw you could maybe purchase at cash converters.

    As for timber, I guess it will depend on where you are, but

    Mathews Timber in Rooks Road Vermont have an excellent range of Aussie Hardwoods

    Australian Furniture Timbers in Plummer Street Port Melbourne also have a great range of hard and softwoods.

    Brittons Timber in Dandenong also have a good range, especially Tassie timbers.
