Swiss pear or light brown coloured Australian equivalent?
Hi all,
I am a model ship builder and am looking for a tight grained wood (with preferably little to no figure) in a light brown colour.
Traditionally Swiss Pear works extremely well (photo attached) but no-one seems to supply this in Australia. The Australian Pear I have seen seems to have a greyer (rather than brown) colour.
> Does anyone know of any suppliers of Swiss Pear in Australia?
> Alternatively does anyone know whether there is an Australian equivalent that might work?
Many thanks in advance.
