Tallowwood deck
I put this in Finishing and have had no reply and have the wife on my back so thought I might try this forum
Hi have just had built a new tallowwood deck and need some info about the finishing off.
I want to retain the light timber look,it gets all the weather and sun and also at times sea mist which sometimes is so strong you can hardly see through the windows.Should I use oil or stain and how long should I leave it before coating. The timber has been kiln dried but has had a bit of rain on it.
Cheers hol

Let it sit for at least a month.
Then, treat with Oxyalyic Acid.
Then, coat with QUALITY BRAND decking oil which has UV protection.
Then ride bike or go fishing.
Have fun.
