Teak, Cedrus deodar and Mango Wood
I've recently had my first work trip to India and I'm going to be going backwards and forwards a bit.
One of the things I'm going to be doing is loading a container or two and bringing stuff to Australia. One of the things I'm thinking of bringing in is Sawn Timber. I can get Teak, Himalayan Cedar and Mango Wood in relatively large sections and dimensions.
Would anyone be interested in pre ordering any of these timbers? And if so what sections and sizes and quantities. Big discounts on anyone who orders ahead of time, with the profits going towards a number of agricultural development projects in India.

I would be interested in a small quantity of Teak as long as it's the old growth and not the plantation timber.

The old growth is hard to get ethically.

Yeah, nah. Old growth teak is a fallacy . Aint none left that can be milled, mostly. Plantation timber is your friend. Burmese material is far better than Indian, just sayin' . Nothing wrong with plantation material .
Personally. I wouldn't waste my money on importing wood. We have such wonderful timbers here. Why do you so want Teak? Masts for sailing vessels? That market is well covered by those that know.
Know your market. There ain't no devil, it's just god when he's drunk!!

I'm in the same spot as Cava - I am interested, pending price and available sizes in teak. To give a rough idea of volume, potentially looking at an outdoor set of furniture, so 6 chairs and table to match.
