Googled it up, that stuff would kill a mule so it not the sort of stuff you would like idiots to get. Oh and the Americans dont restrict guns either do they, and look how many people they shoot.

I googled Fipronil and it came up with some nasty stats. Personally I dont know but its not to get into the water table, kills fish and marine life , is carsenogenic etc etc. If thats true then lets not give it to the villiage idiot.

more uses than you can poke a stick at next time you eat a spud ask the farmer if his spray of choise is fipronil it is used on a lot of crops .i think the termite trade like it this way . i can play with barrier treatment chemicals that are as bad as termidor . but are not as affective as it .

Fipronil
The Reason Termidor Is Restricted.
If you owned the product which is currently considered the best for the protection of property from termite infestation, would you....
Make the product available to the home handyman to install a barrier
a-without the knowledge to prepare the site correctly ie. drill holes to the footings at correct intervals, trench depth and width with the correct consistency backfill, additional chemical to high risk areas???
b-without the correct tools to install the chemical at the required pressure, and with a dirty tank containing other chemicals which may effect the efficacy of the product???
c-without the correct safety equipment and knowledge of safety and environmental procedures in case of a spill or contamination???
...just the tip of the iceberg.
Most times, the handyman will have no idea of the environmental implications if contamination and I don't want to be swimming in a contaminated environment.
Then, when the barrier fails, the handyman tells his mates and neighbours that he had a Termidor barrier which didn't work, then it ends up on a forum and so on and on and on.....We all know the power of word of mouth.
As for The US...who cares. We look after our own environment, and do things properly...
BASF are just protecting their investment.
We operate a Pest Control Business as well as a Termite Bait Manufacturing Company, and we use Termidor every day, and it is the best product currently available by far. Never had a breach.

must of had a breach barney as it is not a barrier they go through it and pick it up and return to the nest which is why it is the best on the market ,ebay usa does have it and last time i looked diy you could do a house for around $300 so why are pest controlers charging $3500 to do a house?
