    Default what timber?

yet another what timber is this thread.

No pics, but I was looking at a block of land, and saw three decent size trees.

Bark was very camphor laurel like, but the leaves were almost "maple leaf" shape, not conventional camphor leave shape.

Straight away I assumed it was qld maple, but after researchon qld maple, it showed that I don’t know my trees very well.

Any idea what it may have been? Seen the tree in mt nebo, rain forest kind of area

    G'day Lenz,

Try researching the genus 'Brachychiton' as they (mostly) have maple shaped leaves and are native to rainforest (wet and dry). Again, without a photo it is a bit of a lottery.

    Regards, Timboz
