timber i.d. needed.
heres some pics of a log i cut recently at a tip in canberra.
there was no leaves with it, hopefully someone will recognise
the wood or bark!

Pics of the grain suggest that it could be Ornamental or Weeping Cherry, first pic of the bark confirms this but the second pic of bark suggests maybe Cedar of which it could also be

Everything I can see points to Cherry. Got any for sale? I've been looking for enough for two chair legs.

thanks for your replys dj and woodwould,
i forgot to add the log was about 450mm in diam.and dead straight,
with a length of about 2500mm, does cherry get that big?
im going back on the weekend if the log is still there ill cut you some woodwould!
