    Default Timber for baby cot

    Hi,
I am a bit of a novice when it comes to wood working and grateful for any advice.

I am planning to make a baby cot and wondering how to select and source the timber. I was thinking of going to bunnings to find some tas oak and redgum. I quite like the contrast of the two colours and have made some other simple pieces using this combination. Most of the pieces are mainly oak with the red gum for contrast.

Is bunnings the best place to source the wood? Any tips on wood selection or alternative suppliers would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Dusty

Can't help you with the Tassie Oak, but from your post it sounds like you're only after a small amount of Redgum? I have various offcuts of Redgum laying around that I am willing to exchange for Amber fluids

If you have a list of sizes you're after, I see if I have suitable pieces.
    Cheers

Thanks for the offer, it may be a few weeks, but once I have a list I will be in touch.
