Stained Timber screen?
I am looking at creating an outdoor timber screen (the kind of variety that is constructed in about every 2nd or 3rd 'backyard blitzed' house!)
I don't want to have to paint the screen, and would like it to have a light(-ish) stain so the natural timber colour is easily seen.
So .... is perma-pine suitable for this? (I can't find any posts saying that perma-pine is suitable for staining ....)
If I can't use perma-pine, what could I use? (Considering that I am looking at using 42x19 for the battens (sp?) which seem to be around $1.50-$1.70/m for permapine ...)
Cheers in advance for any tips!

Hmmm - I'm not sure if a) this was a stupid question b) a FAQ c) a tough question?, or d) in the wrong forum?
