Small Timber Gloat
Jarrah sleepers with a bit of a history...
Originally cut (under the quota system) for the Algiers Metro, shipped to France to be dimensioned (where the trackwork was being manufactured), then shipped to Algieria. Two sleepers required for testing were shipped to Southampton & then by road to Somerset. After testing they became surplus to requirements and a good home was found for them.
My share - 44" of 10" x 6" section which I have cut up for bowls & boxes (made my Skill saw complain just a little), the weathered end is just the right size to support my anvil (appropriately a piece of railway track).
MarkWhat you say & what people hear are not always the same thing.
