    A few more pics...may help...no2 child knocked the camera onto the floor something has happened to the cable socket

    I've seen Stringy that looks like that, and also what we called Mahogany as kids.

    I would definately say turpentine the fiddleback grain looks right, i will dig out a hall stand i made from turp and post pics
