    Default timber id please

Some pics of timber I'm not sure what they r, if anybody has any ideas???
All hardwood and heavy, all machined with oil or water wiped on.
The reddish one came from a 200x200 boxed heart post.
The brown piece is very choclate brown, small chips from thicknessor, the markings r due to age and weathering.
The very red piece I thought was budgeroo due to the brown colour on the outside of the log but when I cut it in half it's red it might be red lancewood??? the black line is the pith.

Coming from Rocky, and being decking and posts.
I bet it will be what ever hardwood is the most prolific grower in the area.

Other then that, I don't have a clue!
    Sorry

Don't know the first 2, but the last one does look like Dead Finish/Red Lancewood. Is it very fined grained and polish like glass, I love DF.

I got quite a surprise when it fell open... its red!! but a pleasant surprise, I got a heap of stuff from an old fella who used to go out west collecting which makes me think it might be common out that way ,Is that the case? I passed it over the jointer and grain appears to be rowed...rows of alternating grain direction so I'm thinking difficult to finish, how do u find finishing it dai?

Apart from hard and needing very sharp chisels, I had no problems. Takes a polish really well, I used resin to fill all the dead bits. Attached is a photo of a vase I did around 5 years ago.

was the first one (reddish brown) extremely dusty when cut? Looks like something i've got which was one of the dustiest timbers i've encountered.

The second one is possibly spotted gum that is what the bloke said it was that I got it off
