    Default Where to get timber in melbourne?

    Hey guys, first post here.
    Im just looking for a place where i can get some decent chunks of redgum, walnut and river redgum. Preferably in the East/south east suburbs.
    Im looking so i can try my hand at making my own shotgun stock and hopefully work on the balence issues im having with it at the moment.
    The walnut will be used to make a stock that i will use for shooting it with, and the redgums to make a display peice, so the weight wont be an actual issue.

    Welcome mscott1,

    btw, I have an old H&R 3" magnum single shot that has sentimental value to me, it once had a replacement stock fitted that was just some junk wood, I'm intending to build a new stock from some blackwood.
