Timber Sizes
Hi Group,
I wonder if someone could explain the standard timber sizes.
When going to a woodyard what are the sizes that they are likely to have?
I heard that width's of timber go up in 25mm increments? but what about thicknesses as well?
thanks 3LB3Landerblue

3LB,
Thickness goes as per the old scale; 1, 1.5, 2,3 inches ands 4inches for posts. These are rough sawn unseasoned timber sizes.
