Timber Source
Hi All,
Can anyone inform me if there are any South East Qld timber merchants who stocks any of the following timber species?
Rock Maple, Bubinga, Zebrano,Thuya Burl, Purple Heart, Cocobolo, African Wenge, Brazilian Kingwood, Amboyna Burl.
I wish to purchase small amounts of all these exotic timber species.
Cheers,
HARWIL53

You might start with Lazarides - haven't dealt with them personally but according to their web site they have the kind of thing you're looking for. Their web site is http://www.lazaridestimberagencies.com/about.htm

Source of timber
I agree. Their web site list Zebrano as being in stock. I know that they do not list all timbers as they have a small amount of my Paulownia for sale and it is not on their list. Worth an e-mail enquiry for sure.

Can also try here. They also have a off-cuts bin that is free for the taking - just they only put it out every few weeks without warning. I've been very lucky twice now , perfect for pen blanks and other small turnings, scored a heap of figured qld maple
