Timber For Strip Canoe - Victoria
I am looking for timber grown in Victoria, native or introduced, for building a strip canoe. If any knows of a mill in the Gippsland area that deals in it that would be great.
Thanks

Strip planking for Kayaks
I sent you an PM this morning before I had read your other 2 threads. A decent length sea going kayak can be built out of Paulownia and weigh about 12 - 15 kg depending on what is inside. fittings etc. It could weigh even more if you increase free board. This should still be a comfortable for a one person onto a car roof. If made out of local hard wood then you be the judge.
