Smile Timber suppliers in Toowoomba area

Hello everyone. I've just joined the forum. I've been reading the forum for a number of weeks and have found a lot of information from the threads.

I live in Gatton, near Toowoomba QLD. I'm interested in cabinet making and door making as a hobby.

I'm not familiar with the timber available in Australia. What options would I have for stiles/rails and raised panels for both cabinet doors and interior/exterior doors? Who would be a good supplier in the Toowoomba area?

I welcome all thoughts and recommendations!!

    Thanks

    Lightbulb Toowoomba Timba

    G'Day,
I'd be looking East, 'young man' to Brisvagas.
There really seems to be limited Timber up in Toowoomba unless you turn.

You could try a place with a name like'Treesize'......no joking.

Let us know how you get on, if you would.

Tresize timbers on Anzac ave carry a fair range of mouldings and a variety of larger timbers in mainly pine and meranti but still worth a call. TRy also Toowoomba recycled timber and furniture in Water st. They have a small selection of some of the more common timbers for furniture(cedar, silky oak etc), a large range of timber slabs and also a large selection of recycled timber(hoop pine floor boards etc).

    cheers

Just don't take all the timber before I get there - we are moving to Toowoomba in four weeks!!
If we learn by our mistakes, I have had a wonderful education!
